Expression of NANOG in Human Testis

(A–C) NANOG expression in differentiating male germ cells; dashed lines mark the boundaries of tubules (immunofluorescence in paraffin-embedded sections).

In other species studied in this paper, "expression in the testis was observed in pachytene spermatocytes and in the first steps of haploid germ cell maturation (spermiogenesis). Weak expression in type A spermatogonia was also observed."
